Hi, new to the gs
Just bought a 17 plate GS 1200 TE getting it delivered next Friday. Shame I'm at work but still have the weekend to play.
Coming from a gsx1400 which I have had three of over the last 13 years
I think it's going to be very different to ride.
Only changing as hips aren't working too well due to getting older. And riding any distance is getting a lot shorter.
So have bit the bullet taken one out in the rain and also got a hailstorm thrown in for good measure in that.
Really enjoyed the ride even with getting wet.
Couldnt really open her up but can imagine what it's going to be like on dry roads.
And got off without any hip ache so must've ok.
Took key fob back into dealers and signed on the dotted line.
Will be looking for givi pannier frames in time
But they can wait a while.

Welcome to the club. You will probably ride the same Suffolk roads as I do. I have a 2017 1200GS Rallye and find its a superb tool for bumpy, pot holed Suffolk B and unclassified roads. If anything its too good and encourages excess behaviour before you feel that you're pushing it. Enjoy the bike!!!

BMW's at glemsford.
Very helpful bunch in the shop.
Couldn't make you feel more welcome.
I know they are just after your cash. But who isn't nowadays.

Welcome!!
