F800GS Rear Shock Pre-Load Adjuster

Mine is seized solid and will not budge.
The grub-screw on it is actually open, by the way.

I tried PlusGas and WD40 over a no. of days but made no difference.
It might penetrate better if I lay the bike on it's side I suppose, but too messy for now.

Any easy solutions ?

Take the shock off the bike.

Remove the spring from to take all load off the adjuster.

Strip, clean, grease, rebuild, refit.
