I want to buy a 1200gs but cant afford a newer model. My budget only allows me to look at bikes that have the servo fitted. I know these have caused issues to some people in the past, so want to know if they should either be avoided at all costs, or how cheap is it to have someone remove the servo, and does this affect the braking performance of the bike once it has been removed.
I can do basic jobs, including bleeding brakes but understand that BMW have made it over complicated.
Any advice would be grateful.
Also were servos fitted o the other models in their range for the period up to 2007 or was this just a gs issue?
