Considering I've done far more complicated work on my oil head I've got stumped by the back brake pedal; I want to lower it a little, is this done by the little locknut adjusted at the back of the pedal that comes out of the rubber boot - and if so can if be unscrewed too far so that it falls out?

Have tried it a little but couldn't see any great change.

Cheers

Slacken the locknut at the back of the pedal and undo the clevis that attaches the master cylinder push rod to the brake pedal.
Screw the push rod into the clevis 2 or 3 turns refit the clevis and tighten the lock nut.
It may be necessary to pull the pushrod out of the master cylinder, make sure it is seated on the rubber boot when refitting, also add some rubber grease (future preventative maintenance).
