Goldwing…….nearly

About £20k outside my budget….

And mine, tbh,

If i go down that route it would be PCP, with the GS being used as the deposit side of things

Ideally i dont want to get rid of the GS, but its not living up to it's reputation, and the whole package is starting to get on my nerves.

My other alternative is go back to a hexhead

I went from a 2019 1200 Rallye to this…..

Perfect upgrade and just completed a 1,600 mile tour of the Pyrenees!!

Yes i havn't discounted the 1150, but id need to find a low seat and then lower the shocks by 30mm to have a fighting chance of feet down

Manual is still available in Tour (the most popular version) over here but the 6-speed was dropped for 2022 in the Goldwing and Goldwing Airbag Tour. Given the option I'm not sure which gearbox I'd have chosen? Probably DCT though. I did not like the short feeling 5th gear in the previous GL1800's but that's been remedied with this new Gen. The ratios of the top three gears are the same in both 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT transmissions, the 7-speed just tightens up the manual's 1-3 spread.

Just collected it.
Think I’ll refit the short screen for local riding and stick the tall one on for away trips.
So smooth.
Need to suss out all the fecking buttons and get the Shad carrier fitted for the top box.

In no way is that an upgrade on that GS Rallye you had.

It’s just that you’ve decided not to go down the PCP route anymore. :thumb2

1150 GS Adv …Many a good tune played on an old fiddle

You just need to upgrade your suspension and it’ll be even better

My 1150 is equipped with Ohlins front and rear…..

Good enough for me!

Nice, and I like the colour.

I found the same with the screen. I bought a Givi touring screen for mine but found that it didn't look as good as the Goldwing oem one and it was too efficient and cut out all the air flow. So I went back to the oem for the summer.

I see you have had the fog/driving lights fitted already. :okay

There's not that many buttons, they are just replicated on the L/H switchgear as the ones on the dash won't work when you are moving as I'm sure you know.

Did you sell the RKS?
