What is the best thing to do when you need to add some play and you can't?

And I have:
1mm play at throttle
1mm play at fast idle
2mm play on RHS down on the throttle body

Is putting no play at throttle would help a little?

I’ve had replacement cables that have had no play when adjusters right in as in your photo,
I removed the cable from the throttle body and refitted the locknut to the underside of the cable bracket.
Bit of a faff and shouldn’t be necessary but it did the job
