Rocker end float and valve clearance

Followed steptoes directions on how to do the rocker end float and valve clearances on the sticky! I had a slight bit of noise/tapping coming from the rh cylinder and after doing the rocker end float it's gone away! So many thanks for that. Is it possible that an end float on the upper end of the scale (0.40) can cause noise? Many thanks, Ashley
 
Did you set Rocker end float and THEN check the valve clearances ????

If you didn;t they could be well tight clearancewise now !!
