As the title says, opinions please and is it worth it please?

Thanks.

I have a 790R and whilst I've not gone for the 890R I have ridden one a fair bit at Sweet Lamb - I don't think it's worth the cost as I got the 790R at a good price late last year - the money that would have gone to upgrade it ended up going into the deal to change my GSA TB to a new 1290R LOL

I have. Not the R version though (too tall for me).

Love the engine, gearbox and new clutch. The suspension is improved with easy preload on the rear with rebound added. I may not need to upgrade to the Tractive units as I did on the 790.

My 790 had the thermostat housing problem and I got a decent trade-in so went for it.

I've only done 1000 miles but its just perfect.

I can answer my own question now. The 890 definitely has more mid range and torque as I hoped for. Only done 600 miles so can’t comment on top end power yet.

Suspension feels better as well.

For the £1500 it cost to change I’m very pleased. Demand for used bikes seems very high, sold my 790 in a day for bloody good money.
