Nearer Beauly in fact but ideally placed as a base for doing the NC500 in chunks.

Bunchrew Caravan and Camping. Excellent , clean facilities and you can camp your bike right by the Beauly Firth.

Meals available at the pubs a couple of mikes either side and reallly good breakfasts available at The Square in Beauly a few miles west.

Weather like this not guaranteed!

Blimey !!!!

The whole family used to go there when I was a child - parents. brother, sister and grandparents. Used to take a couple of static caravans - lovely place Pete.

Id love to take 2 weeks off work, and camp centrally so i could explore all round that area with more time.

in fact after ive done the 1500 miles next week on the bike, i might go later this year in the car with the plan of just walking to see the sights and visit the great towns and villages, without rushing through like i have before.

Not needed on this occasion but always handy! :D

More info re local facilities. In case of emergencies, heading back into Inverness takes you past Mitchell's Motorcycles. A little further and just over the railway bridge, there's the Clachnaharry Inn. Excellent grub and real ales. I ate there on the last night and it's much better than the other pub mentioned earlier. :thumb
