Hi Folks,

I am trying to remove my side stand to replace the pivot bolt and bush. The bolt has a 50T head to it and is not moving at all. Am I missing anything regarding its removal? Any help much appreciated!

So I have tried heat and making my socket wrench longer with a bar. Result is the head of the bolt is disintergrating. No.movement.

Good luck getting it out. It’s a crap design, using a threaded bolt where the bush sits on the threaded part of the bolt. The bolt squeezes the two yokes of the side stand together, so only one half of the side stand is threaded. Just some info, when you get around to drilling it out, so you can see what the bolt looks like.

I knackered mine getting it out.
