Touratech UK

TTUK had a near monopoly.

I don't recall any problems buying from Germany, but I didn't buy much.

In contrast, TTUK promised so much but delivered so little. They were the object lesson in how to abuse customers.

Nothing against Nick, but it does seem wrong that you liquidate a company owing the thick end of £½m to creditors; wind it up; and start again.

probably saw it as a win.... don't miss his business...

Maybe different era, but when I was buying that sort of thing TTDE refused to deliver to UK addresses.

The German company also went bust, but was revived.

Could be bollicks of course ,
But,
My understanding was they invested massively in a new head office etc,
It ran over schedule, and technically they were trading insolvently, which is illegal.
Hence the restructure
As I say,could be rubbish.

This.
TT DE made each territory exclusive via contract.

You might not have an option to not liquidate if contracts are ended as you no longer have a business.
