Courtesy of Tourenfahrer magazine 8/2021, some ideas around this popular destination. Maybe work it into a jaunt to Provence and Mont Ventoux, perhaps?

Indeed so and lucky you.

My parents used to live for 25 years to the south east, in the Luberon, near Apt. I used to go up into the Ardeche for a few days on some visits. That whole quarter of France, including the Verdon, Baronnies, Drome, up to the Vercors, is great. With most of my holidays being in the heat of August, I used to set off early in the morning and stop somewhere around noon until about four pm, finding some nice little town to sit in the shade in or just wander about in. Or take a simple picnic and sit in the shade somewhere in the hills or gorges, looking at a map or just reading a book. Happy days.

Been to Aubenas many times, the manufacturer of my microlight, Aircreation, is there. Also camped for a rock climbing expedition while in the RAF at Valon Pont d'Arc.

Many years ago first ever Gite de France holiday in Vogue (unable type accent).
Still love that area, must mention also love the Lot .
