Assessment is subjective, inevitably, but many riders around the World have reported a similar issue. Some have found the problem goes away with an oil/filter change (if you are feeling lucky), others have persuaded BMW to replace the CCT, some have decided to divvy up themselves for peace of mind & some have retro-fitted a mechanical CCT.
It seems, as usual, BMW dealers are in denial - if your bike has had a recent oil change, yet the issue continues to concern you, then why not elevate your complaint in line with the procedure detailed on the Motorrad UK website.
