servo/abs removed problem no speedo how to get it back

hello done all the mechanical and errors blanked after removal of the servo/ABS unit, brakes bled and working fine on my 2004 GS 12, brake light is working but no speedo. I have read a few threads here about the taking the electronic unit off the main body unit, what exactly do I have to do to recover my speedo operation currently the the whole of the unit is off the bike and the loom plug is waterproofed over and remains on the bike plugged in to nothing. Do I remount the whole unit and plug it in? Remove the electronic portion and plug that in? or something else? If I should post this on a different section please advise. thanks.

Remove the electronics unit from the abs unit and seal it up and plug it into the loom

Your brake lights may only be working on the safety mode of one filament doing both jobs, not separate rear light and brake light filaments.
