I'm looking for a summer touring boot to use instaed of my Forma Aventures. In particular I'm looking at the Forma Air3 but there are 2 options.

Air3 Outdry https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/374588 &
Air3 HDry https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/472463

Do any of you haveany experience of either? Is one a new model to replace the other?

Yes, I’ve got a pair and they’re great

The outdry and Hdry are as you say the same thing, they just renamed it, the boots are identical so get the discounted ones :thumb2

As with most Italian boots they size small so I’d recommend getting a size up from normal if ordering online

"Outdry" is a standalone brand of membrane. I would imagine that HDry is there own membrane that they don't have to pay a licencing fee for.

I have a pair of Rev'it boots with Outdry and Rev'it have also started to use their own H2o membrane instead (I would guess for financial reasons)

I don't know about the other 2 membranes mentioned above but the Outdry is laminated to the inside of the boot.

S20 5G sent this......

From what I can see Outdry was developed by an italian company and sold to various manufacturers

Seems that Columbia bought the name so everyone else had to find a different name

Forma say they have imroved the technology and now call it Hdry

Both are a laminated membrane as shown in the video on my older post (look at 2minutes in), mine have the Outdry version

I have been caught in the rain with mine and they were waterproof but at the end of the day these are summer boots so I hope they don't need to be too often :D
