2011 BMW GSA 1200 - Low seat

Hi,

I have recently brought a 2011 GSA and am very pleased with it... I am however on tip toes and would feel a bit more comfortable if I could get a bit more foot of the ground. Its currently got a Sargent seat (I think its a standard seat) and is on the low setting. It's also in comfort and '1 rider' mode if that makes a difference. I'm wondering what my options are and where to look for a lower seat, hoping there's somewhere I can part ex/ swap. It appears as if the aftermarket adapters only work on the newer models.

Are we talking hexhead (Air-oil cooled) or LC liquid cooled

The old style hexhead , had height adjustment via a bar that fitted into two lugs under the seat

The LC models have bobbins that fit on a height plate bolted to the bike

If it's a hex head low seat, i may have one in the loft -

Work out what model , and confirm

just going to do some shopping so wont be arounds for a couple of hours

if you have adjustable suspension, pop it onto the lowest / softest setting that will help
