I have a GS1200 LC, it has been sat doing nothing for the past 3 years. Replaced the battery with a new one.
now when I start the bike after about 10 seconds of it running The red triangle warning light comes on along with the battery symbol.
I have checked the two fuses under the seat and they appear to be fine?.

The bike has only covered 2700 miles so surely it wouldn't't be the alternator?.

Any ideas?.

According to riders manual, page 38, the red triangle accompanied by the battery symbol at the lower right corner means "Battery charge insufficient".

Thank you. I have fully charged the battery, but still have the same problem.
I have tried a different battery also with the same result.

If you scroll through the dash display choices when the bike is running, you should see the bikes battery voltage. It should be around 14 volts for normal alternator charge

You need a multimeter. Check voltage when it's running.

You also need to have any fault codes deleted.

Have checked the voltage display on dash, only showing 12.1v, so have taken in to garage.
Thanks all for the help and comments.
