Simple question please, if I want the phone to stay lit up with mapping it it just a case of turning off the auto lock function. Thanks

yes unless its actually routing you, then it will stay active.

I also use the orientation lock to stop it the screen going in to landscape when I go around a bend. Obviously you can set it to your preferred orientation and then lock it.

You don't have to turn off the auto lock function. As said by EPG, most navigation apps will stay live whilst you are using it. It also helps to have the phone powered as on some earlier phones, it can drain them quite quickly.

Superb and thanks. Yep it’s powered from a usb but never thought about orientation. Nice one

There’s a switch in the connected app always forces it to landscape if that how you want your phone to sit.
