Just arrived back from a trip to the Alps, French side only as UK citizens have to quarantine for 5 days arriving in Italy. Managed to get as far south as The Tunnel du Parpaillion.
Interestingly during the whole trip, I only saw one other UK Reg plate once we had left Calais. EuroTunnel was basically empty both ways. So the bureaucracy surrounding travel seems to be putting most people off. In reality the form filling was pretty straight forward, as was getting a test in France prior to returning to the UK. So don’t let it put you off your trip. Everywhere we went to in France wanted to see your “Pass Sanitair” All you need is a screen shot of your second vaccination QR code.
Suffice to say the bike performed admirably, using about 500 ml of oil during the 3300 mile trip.

Thank you. It looks great.

If you could email me the GPX of the off road bits when you get time. :thumb2

Just back yesterday from two weeks camping near Embrun very near to the Col Du Parpaillon with the family, fantastic area. The big lake (Serre Poncon) is lovely for a dip. I have done the Col many times, great track. The Col De Valbelle is nearby too and worth doing, can be done together with Parpaillon as a day ride.

Correct....Samsung Tab Active. No SIM required for GPS. Brodit lockable mount. Carpe Itter controller, Locus maps Pro.

Tetley, I’ve just got back from a weekend trip around the Vosges/Jura and had the same experience as you on the train….
