I have a 2005 1200GS. I've owned it from new and ahave always used Castrol Actevo 4T 20-50 engine oil.

I haven't used the bike much over the last few years and haave now finnished my stock of oil. It seems I can no longer get what I have been using, this side of the atlantic anyway.

What's out there, that is equal or better than the Castrol? Idealy still 20-50.

It's a very slick tractor, at least in my opinion

Opie usually price their oil cheaper on ebay...

That's worth knowing, I've never even thought of looking on Ebay, always ordered from site

cant remember which, but one charges for postage the other dosent - one is more expensive the other cheaper ...

but if you work out the costs , i'm pretty sure they come out the same

Thanks for the tip. Good price. I too use fully synthetic but it's more than that usually (probably posting for the brand - silkolene or Motul)

I thought I saw him looking over the new euro 5 Ural outfit.

Thank guys. Next question, How many ltrs. Think it's 5 something....?? Am I right?

Mine takes 4 with a filter change. Worth buying 5 for top ups before the next change.
