I recently picked up a new project, the restoration was 75% completed so a nice simple job to finish, the beauty of these type of bikes is that there’s not much to them so are easy to strip. I think it’ll be a nice bike for the little back lanes around us.

That is really very sweet and I’m slightly more than mildly jealous.
Beautiful bike :okay

Little bit of progress, I put a new small end bearing on seeing as the barrel was off, bore and piston were very good, rebuilt the Amal carb, strangely there was no side stand or anywhere to fit one so I made a bracket and welded it on the swingarm,it’s now off with a mate being powder coated. Not much left to do, I’m nickel plating the gear lever , kickstart and the headlight guard, hopefully ready in a month or so.

Is the rear wheel sprocket missing bolts or nuts?
Yes,I’m in the middle of polishing the brake plate. I’m replacing all the bolts with stainless except for the few that are stamped with the Bultaco logo.
I’ve been spraying the exhaust with bbq paint this afternoon and refurbished the original Betor shocks.

Overall very nice.

Looks like you are making a good job of it.

I put Pirelli MT43 trials tyres on my Montesa when I built it up. Reasonable on tarmac and off road.

Alpina finished

My Alpina is now finished and rideable. I now have a Nova certificate so am going to register it, it’s a 74 model so will be tax / Mot exempt. I may sell it due to my other ongoing projects, but it doesn’t take up much room so who knows.
