Can someone tell me how to post photos please as i'm baffled by technology,Thanks, Pete

Give up now, it's fucking impossible.

Use Tapatalk from your phone and add your photos, doing it using any other way seems a ball ache.

Agreed, you need to resize the photos usually via another app before posting. Having said that, there is usually someone kind enough to sort out your photos once you start a thread.

..Write what you want here. If no need for writing, five full stops will be ok.

Then

Click - Go advanced.
Click - paper clip.
Click - Choose file.
Go to my photos and tap on required photo.
Click - Upload.
Click back to original tab.
Submit.

This could be tricky if you haven't mastered which section to post in first.............

There are several ways to do it, if you run a search you'll find loads of helpful advice. One way (which I use) is to stash your photos on line on an image hosting site (I use SmugMug), then all you need to do is copy the HTML code from the site and paste it into your message on here. Doing it this way also ensures the boss can spend more on cabbage juice to sip on his yacht as the image is not stashed on his servers :thumb2

Just like this (if you click on the image it'll take you into my ukGSer hosted stash..........)

Easy option for me is use the tapatalk app on my phone. Inserting photos is then a doddle.

Is that your "uncle"?

Lemmy as teen/gay icon - wrong on so many levels.

I use imgbb - it's handy to use a photosharing platform if you wish to post on >1 forum.

I'd like to think this was the deep sarcasm of Lemmy on show...

I can't be arsed with any app for photos so my simple way is to send photos as attachment to myself or some pooror bastard but resized to "large" in Outlook then save them for posting on here... Simple low tech and keeps them small enough for posting but fine for viewing...

Posting photos on a Mac iPad and iPhone

Since recent upgrades Mac Photos saves images as HIEC files and these are not recognised to upload on this forum :rob

I stopped using Photobucket when they started charging but I have used Tapatalk in the past.

On the Macbook I cut out the section of a photo I want to post using the keys: command - shift - 4

I then click done and the image is saved as a jpeg in the recents folder in Finder.

To add the image in a post I go to Manage Attachments and a new window opens giving options to add up to 4 photos.

From there I select from the Jpeg images I have created and upload to the post.

This may seem long winded but it removes the location embedded in photos that can pose a security risk.
