Using g mail

I was downloading a pdf document attached to a client e mail this morning. All quite safe, I know the client and have downloaded attachments from him before.

Now, all the pdf documents, in any folder, including the folder used this morning do not have the little pdf logo, but have the google logo (yellow/green/red circle).

When I open these documents they do not open as pdf's but as if is a document being downloaded from g mail.

Have I mistakenly 'pressed' a button or something similar to allow this change to take place?

And, importantly, how do I reverse the mistake?

Thanks

From memory

Right click a document and choose “open with” (if there’s no “open with” do shift + right click)

Choose your normal pdf viewer/editor, usually Adobe

Tick the box “always use for files of this type” (or words to that effect) at the bottom of the dialogue box

Click OK

Something like that anyway

Thanks.

Right click , open with, does open the document as a pdf.

Found it.

Right click
>Properties
right click
>general
Opens with...change to Adobe Acrobat

I must have made a 'global' change without realising it, and affected all pdf docs in the computer.

Now made the 'global' change to return to where I was.

Thanks for the pointer.
