For something to be portable it needs to be light. Most of the multi-function devices seem to be 20-25kg. Personally, I would aim to get a sub 10kg printer without a scanner. Unless you need high volume scanning you can use your phone. How often do you really need colour? I have managed with a monochrome laser printer at home for years. This HP mono laser looks nice, refillable toner. https://uk.pcmag.com/inkjet-printers/127606/hp-neverstop-laser-1001nw If you really do need a colour multi-function device then #7 here https://www.techradar.com/uk/news/best-laser-printer but I would not fancy lugging it from a car in the rain. Not that heavy but an awkward shape.
