Bought 2 stanchions off them nearly a year ago. Fitted them and fork seals changed. Seems the seals are again leaking (yes its cosmetic, but I like things like I like them!). So had the bike at Steppers to replace. On trying to undo the right stanchion nut it was apparent that the internal boss was just rotating as well. No joy in using multiple spanners worked etc. Called Motorworks and explained, along with a basic video and an email saying we did not want to try to get nut etc out for fear of bodging a stanchion. Quick e mail back saying the new stanchion and nut is in the post FOC. Great service

Always had excellent customer service from MW when I used them for parts when I had the GSA12 :thumb2

Various dealings with them - - ALWAYS been good :thumb2

I wish Motorworks had got the agency for the Wedgetail Ignition systems for the Airheads

Bins got it and took the pish out of the price! How far out of touch are they?

350 + vat for single pickup and £500 for a twin pickup

I think they were Au$ 275 when I got mine

Thank fuck I got mine or I never would be buying them at that price !

Where are these prices Jay?
I’ve looked on their website ,no prices listed yet:confused:

Always good to deal with

Ian - the sales and despatch manager is very helpful

Wedgetail Ignition

I have just made enquiries regarding the Wedgetail Ignition at Motobins and the dual units with a single trigger along with the dual redundancy CPU is over £500. In the USA and Australia it sells for less than £400, which is annoying. The system seems excellent and if you look over at Adventure Rider there is a long thread including comments by the producer. Shame the price here is so high.

Motorworks, always had excellent service but by god their new website is utterly sh#%e in comparison with the old one

So as if to prove a point in the past you could check the Motorworks website , it would show you if used bits were in stock and you could order them alongside any new parts , FFS now you have to submit a used parts request quote and wait for a reply when it is processed.

So wanting to order a load of new bits and one used part I rang up expecting them to be able to check used stock on their computer .

Nope, you have to submit as used parts and wait for a reply before you either order online or ring them up to order over the phone , hardly progress

FFS e mail now received saying my used parts request quote has been 'cancelled' , no reason why. no reply to say item is in or out of stock just 'cancelled' .

After using Motorworks for 20 odd years I think I will take my business elsewhere

Probably read post number 11

Could it be that the new website displays differently on different devices?
Just wondered because I used the new site for the first time recently and had no problems whatsoever— entered bike model etc and then searched the keyword. Site went straight to the required section and parts required. Checkout was also painless followed by rapid dispatch.

Also received excellent advice over the phone when I called to query fitment before opening the packaging.

With used bits you cannot ring up and ask if they have it in stock at the same time as ordering new parts , s9 I submitted a used parts quote form only for it to be cancelled.
There was no reason given ie it was cancelled as they had no stock , just it was cancelled.
Thinking there was an issue , I resubmitted the online used parts quote form and again it was cancelled by MW with no explaination, 30 minutes later get an e mail saying it is not in stock.
Hardly an improvement over the old system.
Tried the new site on a PC and an android tablet and it is 'clunky' compared with the old one.
So I have voted with my feet and got the other £100 worth of new bits (cheaper by a couple of quid ) from another BMW specialist.
As said before I gave used MW for years and always been impressed and willing to recommend them to anyone but from now on they will not be my first port of call

Definitely a backward step on the used parts.

In the past I’ve known them take to phone , stay on the line, walk across to the warehouse and rummage through the parts bin to find the required piece before returning to their desk and process the payment etc.
