The throttle action on my late model, 80k plus 1100gs has become very notchy. Guess it's time for new cables.

Any advice?

Do I Stick with BMW parts or go after market? Anything else worth doing whilst I'm in there?

Thanks in advance

I’m not sure if you have a choice of alternative manufacturers.

Thanks.
Pulled it apart this evening... That splitter box is in a great spot!
Short cable to right hand tb was damaged/frayed.
I'll replace all four and the clutch cable whilst the tank is off

Cheers

If you've done the clutch cable did you replace the brass nipple that sits in the lever at the bar end? If not it's worth doing.

Thanks,
The slotted barrel shaped thing that sits between cable end and lever?

I just assumed it was part of the cable. I'll order one!

I don't believe it comes as one and they can wear and cause the cable to fray so for a few bob it's worth doing.
