I've just bought an F650GS for my Wife and it has an odd Issue.
The Centre Stand only just raises the Bike to Standing but the Rear Wheel is still on the Deck.
The OEM Shock was replaced for the last MOT with a 60007 Hagon Unit.
I've traced the Unit through Hagon and they tell me it was built to the Standard Length of 315mm Centre to Centre so it's not too long.
Is it possible the Preload has been Wound right up?
What else might cause such an Issue please?
Many TIA,
BB

Few possible options,
1. centre stand is off a lowered bike
2. Suspension dogbone linkages off a dakar model fitted

Find out what standard bits should be and work from there

Dog Bones seem a likely Option.
In addition to the Centre / Side Stand Issue, the Handling is off.
It seems to Turn In really sharply, as if there's too much weight on the Front.
I thinking someone has Lifted the Rear for more Height and thereby upset the Geometry.

Anyone know the Length of the Standard Dog Bones?

Have a look on oem bmw , it seems the standard gs and dakar models share the same dog bone and main linkages for the rear suspension , you may have to look elsewhere

FWIW the factory lowered bikes did not have an oem centre stand.

It's definitely the Centre Stand that's the Issue.
It's 210mm long, around 50mm shorter than most others I've seen either listed for sale in Europe or mentioned in The Chain Gang Threads.

I have read that somewhere, maybe someone has Shortened it to suit themselves.
The OEM Shock was FUBAR and caused an MOT Failure last April, leading to a Hagon Replacement being Fitted.
Having spoken with Hagon, I now know the one that was Fitted is to Standard Spec / Length but I've no clue as to what Length the Original was....

On Rhynas 2001 F650GS it had sharp turn in when she first got it.
It turned out the tyres had gone square with a PO and it as you rolled over the ridge the front end fell away into a turn.
