Occassionally am unable to access websites ie I get a msg like: Your clock is ahead.... A private connection to XXX can't be established because yr computer's date & time (YYY) are incorrect. UPDATE DATE AND TIME.

Also I notice the https has a red line thru it, so may be the clock time is important because of security or handshaking checks. The odd thing is the clock (as displayed on my computer screen) is perfectly correct!

Anyway I looked into the Internet Time tab, Change Settings and my computer was set to Synchronze with an Internet Time Server. Server reads "time.windows.com". I wonder why some sites are a prob and not all. The BBC weather site is https and i don't have a prob accessing that site so the prob is not connected with https. FYI, am still XP based :blast but looking to switch to new computer with W11 when its bedded in a bit. But for now any help appreciated.... computers arrgghhhh!

Is your PC as old as the OS? Check your motherboard battery. Probably toast.
