ABS II failure I believe you've never seen this

are you sure you do not have a short circuit somewhere in the loom close by ?

Looks like a missing ground somewhere on the ABS unit...
The owner changed the battery and brought the bike to a BMW shop to have it reinitialised. He went back home, didn't use it for 2 days, and the third day when trying to start it, the ABS began to whin permanently.
