Last trip of the year for us.... No idea if all these pics will show up
Day 1.. Travelled down from Notts to the Holiday Inn Express at Folkestone.. Rooms are cheap at £70.
Day 2.. up nice and early for breakfast then onto the tunnel for an 8am crossing then onto Reims for the night. Le Clos Des Roys is a cracking little B&B right in the centre of Reims next to the cathedral.

Day 3 Reims to Thollon-Les-Memises didn't take a deal of photos. Accommodation was superb owner even offered me her car to save us walking the 10 minutes in the drizzle to get some tea. Highly recommend this place.

Some bloke... Wasn't young either!! Sod peddling up that lol.
Didn't take any pics of tonights accommodation.. Arrived pretty late due to a longish day on the bike then had a few to many!
Day 6 Auron to Menton - Cavalaire Sur Mer. The Wife wanted a week on the beach. Nice suprise (for me at least) at the top of the Col De Turini.
Thats about it for the good stuff. The next 7 nights were spent at Camping De La Baie in a small chalet. Decent enough for a weeks stay.

Day 14 came around all to quickly and it was time for home. We decided to head back to calais on one hit +- 750miles. With a stop every couple of hours its easier than you think on the big BMW.
We set off after taking 2 PCR tests just after lunch. 4 hours later pulling away from a peage around Lyon the left front wheel bearings decides to give up. Bear in mind this is 16:00hrs on a Saturday afternoon ffs! A quick google search found a motorrad dealer 15 miles away "Altitude 38" with the hazards on at 10mph we headed there. The guys couldn't have been more helpful.. They had a set of bearings in stock and fitted there and then. 90 minutes and £136 later we were back on our way to calais.
Thats about it...
Cheers.
