its my old r1100rt ,the switch is a bit sticky sometimes works and sometimes dosnt.can it be removed without taking the whole plastics swing arm etc off .if i take wheel off can i reach it with little quater drive long extention kit.
cheers ian

If it's like the GS then it will be mighty difficult without removing the swingarm. Obviously you may have plastics to remove, but as long as you heat up the pivots to soften the Loctite it's not too bad a job. The bolts holding the switch are small, so go easy - I replaced mine with A4 stainless ones well greased.
