That's it all booked for us Friday June 10th and Saturday June 11th at The Miner's Standard, Winster in the Peak District.
B&B is available at the pub. Book direct please.
Camping I have said 20 slots, it is £7/head/night but if there are more it won't be a problem. I will need to collect this nearer the time.
Food has been 'arranged', breakfast for those that want it and dinner n the Saturday night - I will need to give them some idea of numbers. Sort yourselves out with regard to paying for food 'at the table', just like a breakfast meet or whatever.

Electric hook ups are scarce, there are 3 I think... for those Old Tossers who are beyond camping properly but not yet in need of a bed! Be quick if you want one.

Names for those that are coming below please! I'll kick it off:

King Rat (Simon) - camping, possibly/probably in a hammock. :thumby:

Nice one, well done Si.

I just booked my trip to Asturias next year, guess what day the ferry leaves?

Many thanks Simon.

I plan to be there. :thumby:

We need to get this promoted.

Can we get it posted in - Forum: UKGSer Events? and UKGSER FaceBook page?

Fire off a message to the Janitor and I'm sure he'll do the necessary. :thumb2

A few pictures of the kind of scenery and roads you might be able to expect on the ride out. Not compulsory but these are the off the beaten track lanes that will show you the behind the scenes of the southern Peak District. The main places are tourist traps and the main roads are boring, probably clogged with caravans, quarry trucks and campervans, on top of the usual dawdlers. These back routes avoid all that. All will be road tyre friendly, tarmac'd but some might have grass growing up the centre! :thumby:

I recognise a couple of those photos as I ride those lanes on a fairly regular basis - the water crossing needs a bit of care as the old cobbles are very slippery when wet - you have been warned

The Miners Standard was our half way stopover on last years National Rally a lovely pub and campsite I asked the Landlady at around the time I thought should be last orders what time they closed she said when I've had enough and throw you lot out !
