Nav V cradle repair - the eject button

Has anyone ever dismantled the 4 button cradle and replaced/repaired the Nav eject button?

The plastic button on mine has broken and I'm currently diss-mounting the Nav unit by poking the remains of the button shaft with a small electrical screwdriver.

Before I start trying to pull the thing apart, I thought I'd ask!
