Spent a day last week methodically changing from the factory front and rear suspension to the TT units. Went out today and did 100 odd miles on a mix of dual carriageway, fast single carriageways and some back roads with undulations and broken surfaces. Also took the bike over some badly broken tracks. I used all ride modes and all suspension settings. Wow, just wow! It’s a totally different bike. The fact that the suspension can maintain tyre contact with the road surface so much better is a game changer. Going into and out of corners with greater confidence and better line holding whilst the bike is banked over.

When set to road it feels firmer than the factory units but still comfortable. Definitely no wallowing! With it set to dynamic it feels like it’s on rails. I tried all ride heights too and the difference was marked in all settings. Not cheap but a farkle that really does improve the bike.

Make good use of those damping adjusters, they make a big difference. It will make you think about what the bike is doing beneath you, it makes you seperate high and low speed feelings, one click here and there is very noticable. Put the bike in road -solo and get the damping dialled in for ordinary riding, not soft, but comfortable. Then when you want get a wriggle on just pop into dynamic damping and off you go.

Thats very witty, esp. coming from the land that makes them!!

OP, yes it really is a great move to make and puts off the replacement dilemma by adding another two or three years of pleasure to the bike.
I am very happy on my `15 build with these on board.

Try not to interpret an ambiguous gif from an obtuse poster.

A pointless response to the OP.
well done OP on your ‘upgrade’.

These shocks work even better with the D-ESA due to their much faster reaction times to input.

I am gobsmacked by the difference. It’s not a hyperbole to say it’s totally changed the bike. The only issue I had was mounting the remote suspension components alongside the TT tool box and the Mudslinger.

simple because I have made this change already and say many times best thing to spend cash if you have, no magic real feeling. :beerjug:

I take my hat off to you chaps who can do all this mechanical stuff ... bravo :)

Mate, I consider myself to be a competent home mechanic, mostly around cars though. I have no doubt though, that with the required tools that anyone who took their time could do this.

Sounds great, And the price, if self-fitted?

Next time you do it for the servicing of the units you do not need to remove the air box , you can pull it away enough to reach the bolt . Saves time and the hard to get to connectors etc . Also remember to prise the rear swing arm spacers apart for again easy fitting as they get stiff . Small tips but hopefully helpful .

Another vote for the Touratech suspension, first class upgrade
