My 850 GSA has a very useful switched power supply up in the top left corner of the cockpit.

I have made it more useful by:

Attaching a right angle Hella plug to a short lead, terminating in a female dc socket. I made this myself from bits I had lying around.

Purchasing a male dc plug to three female dc sockets lead: https://keisapparel.com/products/he...ad-one-into-three?_pos=2&_sid=a3d4fb701&_ss=r

I can now power my remote heat controller for my electric jacket, along with my tank bag and have one spare power supply, should I need it.

It all works well.

Agree its conveniently located but bear in mind the socket will not supply more than 5 Amps.
Unfortunately my Airman compressor takes too much current for that socket so I have to use a flylead direct to battery.

The heat controller and the power demand of the items in my tank bag (phone / camera) are well under five amps. For my compressor, I have a simple 7.5 amp fused supply, running from the battery, which I also use for running my heated clobber.

I found this too re. Airman. Since the bike is wired for an Optimate, I bought this lead which works fine with the Airman

I have something like this for use on my XR that has a similar cockpit socket. Converts one Hella/DIN socket into 3 12V fag lighter sockets plus USB power.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/322179650737 - powers my Zumo 390, phone and recharges my jump start/power pack inside my tank bag.

seems the design has altered to 4 sockets with 2 adapter but functionally similar - this new design has the same ebay item number as the one I bought

Edit: looking at the shop's other listings, this is the item I use https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/391996672137
