New year,new project

Not in the market for one, as it was the last of the air heads BMW, where messing about with carburation and emssions, apparently there is a way to improve mpg, so it was just a comment I made, don’t want Mikey to think he has built a thirsty bike

I see no reason for the 100r being any more thirsty than a GS or any other 1000cc airhead,
It’s more likely the chap was thrashing the tits off it trying to keep up with bikes with a lot more power:D

No I think not.
Was thinking more along these lines

That looks good. Q tech subframe and rear seat on your build?….. or going with something else similar?
Keep us all updated on progress.

Got the frame back from stripping/blasting,
Need a few bits to bolt to it now,
See what brackets need welding on or cutting off
Good news is,no cracks or bends or distortion.
I’ll do a dry build first and make sure everything is straight.

You don’t hang around on these builds…..

Good to watch the progress, and your thoughts on how the build will progress

Ditto. The way he works, we don't have to wait 10 years between "new bike" and "frame ready for powdercoat" :steptoe

I sometimes wonder where all these brilliant restorations end up. Do they get bought as "investments" and locked away by "enthusiasts" with deep pockets?
