A Sunday evening perusing eBay :D
I’ve always said that I’d never buy a cheap bike off the evilbay,
I was correct in some respects,
However,I’d been looking for a paralever donor bike for a while,so I went in hard to win the auction (I had a inkling about this bike but more of that later)
The following morning I popped down to collect it.

The bike had apparently been in an accident 20 plus years ago and parked up,
The impact was high frontal,
My personal theory is that it went into the back of a line painting truck, but who knows:nenau
Time to rip the thing apart:D

It started to become apparent that the bike had never had a spanner on it,
Just no wear anywhere

Jammy bugger springs to mind, specially if the frames still straight. Nice one Mikey

Rebuild to standard spec?…… or a mikey special?

Either way, keep us all updated on progress

Wow. That looks like it has real potential. Much nicer in many ways to the one I picked up a few years ago.
Love to see what you do with it.

Wasn’t this model heavy on petrol, in the midd nineties I had a R11RS a friend had a K1100RS, we could get 50 mpg when out on a ride, another guy who had this model of R100 could only get 35 mpg when out on the same ride.

I don't think he's going to let it go until he's finished it, even if the MPG might be bad. Nice try :D

Those cylinders haven't done many miles. Nor the footpegs. That's going to be a really nice bike :beerjug:

Well done Mike. I was thinking of bidding on this one, in line with our conversation about fitting the GS wheels to the Mono.

I thought it would make a good base to upgrade my outfit for trail riding. As it was I decided it would be too much work and I'm better off sticking with what I already have.

Doo like the R100 Paras though.

Val.

Not in the market for one, as it was the last of the air heads BMW, where messing about with carburation and emssions, apparently there is a way to improve mpg, so it was just a comment I made, don’t want Mikey to think he has built a thirsty bike
