1100 Breva or 1200 Sport?

Err cough cough - Harley RKS is the way to go! ;)

......but you might look a bit odd with a strapping 5 foot 9 inch lad on pillion! :D

Give me a shout when you're sorted with something suitable Paul and we'll arrange that ride out we were thinking about. :thumb2

Guzzi 1200 Sport

Thanks for getting in touch by email Paul. A shame this one doesn't work for you at the moment.

If anyone else is interested please get in touch via this thread or message me on... grahammaden "at" yahoo.co.uk.

More details just posted up on a Guzzi forum here:

http://guzziriders.org/bikes-for-sale_forum15.html

Cheers all :beerjug:

I have seen the pictures of xsgraham's bike and it's an absolute beaut. Low miles, a very good price.... just wish my bike fund was slightly more flush!! I would not have hesitated to go straight over for a look. If you're tempted, I recommend chatting to Graham.

Hi Paul - This idea has come as a surprise to me over the last day or so as I'm rather attached to the Sport, but was just pondering various bike ads (as you do) and saw something rather splendid.... in my eyes at least.

My bikes an '08 reg black and white 2 valve Sport. It's really low mileage as the original owner was Italian and seemed to not be in the UK very much.
It has only around 7,500 - 8000 miles on it now. Pretty standard apart from a Mistral silencer which I've fitted very recently. I did all the oils around September and only put a couple of hundred miles on it since, so its nicely set up for when the weather gets warmer. I'm looking for around 4.2k for it, which seems about right.

I'm Crawley way so happy for you to come and have a look sometime if you fancy

I'm really new to the forum (actually drawn in by Guzzi content in that came up in a search) so not sussed out yet whether I can Private Message you. Hopefully I can and will drop you a few more lines about the bike and some pictures (If I can work out how to upload).

Just seen your ad on facebook. It does look rather lovely.

Deal done!

Thanks everyone for your thoughts.

Thanks Baldrick for pro-level advice and also a blast on your own 1200.

Cheers Graham, I look forward to picking her up.

Cheers Paul - good to meet you and glad you liked the bike. Trying not to have sellers remorse now - it’s such a buzz hacking along on a big Guzzi 😀.

This was the end result. A fabulous bike, handles like a dream, has a mountain of torque whatever the gear or revs. And the sound of the engine is just brill. It's exactly what I wanted.

There was some good advice in this thread :beerjug:

That's lovely I'm seriously considering one of these next. It's kind of a toss up between that and a V85TT.

if that is the drive up to your house ....my Labour Rate , just went up.

ps i have found a bit of wall porn for you.

That's just the drive to the gatehouse..... :D

I wish. It's actually Penny Hill Park, the swish hotel where England Rugby train. It's just up the road, and whenever I want to photograph a bike I take it there as it's a nicer background than my garage door.

Tell me more about the wall porn!

On the downside, there are no new Sports so you're immediately looking at an older bike, but on the positive side I'd imagine the V85 won't create quite the same torque. Decisions, decisions...

That looks gorgeous! I really need to bite the Guzzi bullet before I die!

Did you have a GS prior to the Guzzi? I was wondering how the weight and manoeuvring compared? I love my R1150GS but the weight while manoeuvring is getting to be a pain. I'm not getting any younger and it ain't getting any lighter .
I was considering the V85TT first as it's a fair bit lighter but I don't know if I'd miss the power and torque of the GS. I also love exploring snotty little country lanes with grass up the middle (for which the V85 would be great) but the 1200 Sport might be a bit of a handful. Decisions, decisions
