Prompted by Lord Snooty’s excellent report and a bad case of cabin fever on my part (possibly prompted also by Jim’s Namibian jaunt), last Friday night I splashed out big time on a return ticket to Tenerife (£68 with T Cook aka TUI) from Gatwick.

Packing was light as it had to be ‘fit under the seat’ size

Packed a few useful pictures (in case the pilot needed any visual aids)

So I arrived last night without any drama to a rather cool evening.

Had also copied shamelessly some of Wapping’s Herman sourced offerings and packed various bits to support my navigation

Your on a plane with no overhead lockers...?..

They didn’t check but the dimensions were small and stated thus….not a problem and better than paying £100 for carry on luggage- as I intend to put the bag on the back of the bike anyway.

and I went and chose a motorbike- decided to go for the CB500X as relatively light and simple and with a sort of screen for weather protection.

Decided I would go East to Las Galletas for lunch and then el Medano, the kite surfing Mecca

TF28 is a great road , although away from Playa all roads are good .Ive hired scooters and bikes several times on Tenerife ,and road 2 days off road with Enduro Tenerife.
Enjoy.

Nice one. Have a good trip.

After a fabulous morning ride via Los Gigantes and Masca, stopped for coffee at 12/30…and two minutes later the heavens opened. Timing is everything!

Leché Leché?
Puff. The only reason a Chicharerro would drink that is on a cold day con Cuarenté Trés
Cortado Condensada is where it’s at.
Why do you think I have a Gaggia Classic and not one of those poncy Sage things :D

I'm in - two Gaels on tour at once. if only .........

Reminds me the most enjoyable pulpo gallego i have had was at Pulperia Luis in Sarria, Galicia
