Duke William

Went to this a couple of months back. Sold to me as a bike meet, no mention of classics so I rolled up on my v85tt. Ate pub grub, drank coffee and admired some bikes. (A lovely Laverda 750 twin, a nicely done Ducati Pantah MHR tribute, some Jap classics, an airhead or two. Plus British bikes - that I know nowt about - and some modern stuff). Bumped into a few people I know and spent a pleasant hour or two talking biking nonsense. What's not to like?

I have been a few times since these meetings started using the G/S and the GSPD.

However, without any shame I used the Niken the last time I went and will again if the weather is crap. :D

Good turn out for February.

Nice to give the G/S a run.

Some photos from the Facebook page (not mine):

Matlock monthly classic meet is advertising it will be on again on at the Duke William pub.

12 noon Wednesday 2nd March. :thumby:

I plan to go again on a bike (weather permitting).

That's timely. I have just put the uprated brake kit on the 80GS... I will have to clear the entrance to get it out! Not if it is raining though, the roads are filthy with mud and cow muck.

Looking like rain all day!

Weather not looking good so will give this one a miss.

Me too, especially as I am away to Northumberland for the weekend and need an early start Thursday, which I won't getif i have to stay up half the night cleaning!

In the first pic - the white bike, top lhs, is that a version of the Honda 175/250 twin in some sort of street scrambler guise? Looks really interesting and if it is a Honda, I think that's the first one I've seen.
