After an enjoyable Colombres Rally last year I'm booked on the NOS rally 27 Sep - 2 Oct 22.

Bikes must be registered before 1988.

Anyone else booked/seriously thinking about it?

Im thinking that if im going all that way on the ferry then i might as well stay for both the rallys .Although just contacted my mate in Spain he does a Morrocan trip on 15th September for 9 days . Ive been meaning to do for a few yaers . So im thinking i could get the ferry to Santander or Bilbao ride down to Malaga , use one of his bikes for the Morrocan trip and the get back for the Columbres rally. The timing looks good.

For those that have asked, the North of Spain Rally and the Colombres Rally are organised by a bunch of friendly Spaniards called Club Indianos. It is a friendly and professional affair. The NOS rally seamlessly runs into the Colombres rally. The runs are 'guided' in that they give you the route and the road signs have little arrows pointing the way. A truck with a bike trailer follows up to pick up stragglers. They even have a 'tent of shame' in the hotel carpark which is a workshop to help those towed back to fix their bikes.

My trip to Spain ends just as NoS rally starts.

The Palacio Arias hotel in Navia was nice. I had 2 nights there on the way to Porto a couple of years ago. Some fine terrain inland of Navia.

And if you are really keen there is also the Moto Piston rally based in Santander held a couple of weeks before the North of Spain rally which is a week before the Colombres event.

A cracking rally. A large contingent of UKGSers did the 2011 Moto Piston Rally. I went on my old Guzzi California.
Well, most didn't sign up for the official Rally but just went along for the great time, as it seems does most of Europe.
All types of things going on in the town, including old classic races, around a track set up in the football stadiums car park.
Santander is a wonderful place for that weekend A trip report from the occasion.:D

Does anyone know if the rules mean 1988 *and* older, or not including 1988?
All the information states "pre 88", but a few later bikes definitely slip through the net. Easiest thing to do is drop them an email and ask.
I did last year's NoS with some friends and we all enjoyed it, and in teh process of re-booking for this year.
The North of Spain Rally which had around 60 bikes last year, so smaller than the Moto Piston and Colombres gatherings, but I did like that aspect.
