Tom Daley for comic relief cycled through Dorset today - I cycled out to meet him, rode with him a bit then as the ride left Bridport and settled to a slog along the A35 I stayed with them (as it was on my way home) as we went up Chideock Hill I thought it would be unsporting to overtake so resisted doing so…
However my resistance proved to be weak, so near the top I bid him good luck and demonstrated EBike power which unplanned also meant I was leading as we approach the next bunch of well wishers beside the road who then thought I was Tom and started cheering, waving and shouting words of encouragement at me
