I have the Halfrauds professional socket set and Tourque wrench's etc
My only thing I'm lacking is good quality T Bar sets and the like. Looked at Wera, Beta, Facom, etc

Torx
Allen (hex)
Cheers in Advance:okay:thumb

I have two sets of long shaft, ‘T’ handle Torx & Hex from Mac tools, I’ve been very happy with them. I’m also pleased with my Halfords professional socket set.

I’ve just fitted a set of Touratech Pannier frames to my 1250
Sometime ago I bought a set of stahwille torx sockets thinking they were the dogs do dahs
The T40 just kept spinning out of the bolt head
I reverted to my Halfords Pro T40 and whilst torquing the bolt to 19 nM the Halfords bit sheared in the bolt head

Not sure which to try next

Ride magazine this month has a review of these .

Here you go….

Note: The test the fellow refers to is not of Torx bits / handles per-se.

PS I’m not sure I’d use a torque wrench to fit pannier rails. I think I’d just use the tried and tested method of just tight(ish) and maybe a quarter turn. Maybe a blob of Loctite Blue if I thought they might vibrate loose.

Thank you for the review link

I'd looked at ride magazine and saw that the review was indeed about T handles but still interesting non the less

Proxxon my favourite

I bought a Snap On torx set a few years ago - a bit expensive compared to some. However, it feels like the wrench 'bites' into the screws, they never feel like they're about to slip.

I have the Proxxon T-bar Torx drivers, as shown above, along with their sister Allen drivers. They have both been (and still are) excellent.

I’d certainly look at these if I were to be in the market for some new Torx sockets:

I didn’t realise what a huge range of products (as shown on the Axminster Tools site) Proxxon offer.
