Just serviced and largely repaired a new to me second hand purchase of a 2002 R1150R yellow and blue bike. The one outstanding issue is that the right hand handlebar switch gear is Kaput. Neither the starter button nor the R/H/S indicator want to work, or, if they do, they do so intermittently. I did take the internal buttons apart only to see a part ping across the workshop never to be rediscovered, so realise that the best course of action is to renew or source a good part second hand. The bike doesn't have ABS.
I've a few questions please. I realise this will be an expensive part new.....
Whose the recommended dealer to source new parts from in the UK?
Is a heated handle bar type switch and its short wiring loom from my R1150R model also shared across a few of the touring and adventure bike models? I note that the short loom integral to the switch terminates at two separate plugs.
Does anyone here have one they'd be prepared to sell to me as eBay doesn't seem to have any at the moment?
