Managed to book a 3 night break to Jersey during Spring Bank holiday week. Just me and the missus. Never been before. Staying in St Ouen. Have hired a car.

Any suggestions on where to go, must sees, must do’s appreciated

T

Shouldn’t be too difficult as I’ve spent 2 days on Jersey in the last decade.

That’ll definitely make it easier for a beginner at the game :D

I couldn’t remember which of the little rocks you lived on, in your fat cat tax evasion life (I read it here) :beerjug:

Loads of beaches to see. Wouldn't have hired a car as you can get a daily/weekly bus pass and the buses go everywhere frequently.

Glass Church, war museum to go and see. Have a look at some of the stuff that's owned by something like the National Trust or English Heritage. They're really quite expensive to get into on the day but if you get annual membership in the UK I think they have a reciprocal agreement so you get in for free or at least discounted.

Thanks guys. Odds of getting my wife on a bus are zero though. Some good info there.

Hi Hedgehog, here you go

Places to go, driving you'll probably do an all island tour with a hire car so the usual places are:-
Corbiere
St Ouens bay
Gronez Castle
Plemont (see the whicker Puffins)
Greve D'Lecq
Bonne Nuit
Rozel
St Catherines
Gorey Castle
South east coast road
Noirmont point

Definately do a cliff path walk the whole North coast has beautiful scenic cliff paths an ideal one is Crabbe to Devils Hole you can stop for a drink at Devils Hole pub
then head back either via the cliff path or country roads

If tbe weathers warm head to the beach, Check the wind direction and go where it's sheltered.
Beautiful beaches
Portelet Bay
St Ouens bay
Plemont bay

What a brilliant review and response Jersey GS , well done

Jersey Royals are the best

If you are self catering you can buy them from the honesty boxes at the side of the road all over the island. Bring just before the boil and simmer for 10 minutes with a few fresh mint leaves in the water. A nob of jersey butter - perfect.

Jersey GS has given you great advice. great pub grub and fancy expensive stuff if that is your thing too.

Oh and please leave the island how you found it ;)

Oh and Liberation ale is top notch. I can recommend both the IPA and double IPA.

Jersey Royals from L’Etacq are the very best :thumb2
