As per the title, my 2012 GSA has developed a ticking noise that seems to be coming from the area around the top of the rear shock. The ticking frequency seems to be about 1Hz.

The ticking has stopped a couple of times but has also resumed. Doesn’t seem to make any difference whether the engine is running or not.

Any ideas what it might be, whether or not it is resolvable at home, or whether it’s a dealer job?

Cheers.

Are sure it’s not the exhaust flap motor ? It makes a ticking noise if the flap is seized

Did you remove the servo as well as the flap? I seem to remember the servo ticking on mine.

Just disconnected the lead from servo, so presume that no power is available to the servo. Everything is still in place, but disconnected electrically.
