Saw lots of touring bikes of all European nationalities

Thanks JB, great pics and a reminder of what a fantastic event it is.

Note to self to get my arse up there next year and watch it for the first time!

Another good day, today
Dawned wet around Fort William, but across in the next valley at Strontian it was bone dry

Electric bikes anyone ?
2 EMotion bikes doing very well in the sections and both riders in the top 40 (out of 290 riders) - new battery at every refuelling stop!

Kinlochleven and Appin areas today

Some pics from 2017 from one of the Appin sections which show how big and gravity defying the obstacles are (a well ridden GS though)

It’s free to watch if you are in the area this week (section timings in Pete’s link)

There will be some great catering in Appin VH today, by the ladies of the village (to boost VH roof funds) and all are welcome even if you are just passing Appin on your road bike

You look at some of the riders you know and are very good riders and see there scores then look at Dougie and Dabill etc and see they went all week and only dabbed 2 or 3 times on terrain like that, makes you realise just how good the top guys really are. Astounding level of control of a bike!

Indeed
It’s the stamina to ride 30 tough sections & ride 80-100 miles a day (much of that mileage is over big boggy Moors and fells) for 6 full days
Some amazing riding by ordinary good Centre riders
It’s a unique event and the craic at sections is great too, everyone is very friendly

What fabulous pictures, thanks for sharing JB

I've visited some trials in my time, to physically see the obstacles within the sections is a real eye opener, they are absolutely awesome

Its a good few years since I was at any trials events, I was involved with the scrutineering at the event near Penrith (2012) I think helping out a pal who was managing (CoC) the event for the ACU, but haven't been to an event since save for a local one in Cumbria in 2007

Thanks again for sharing the videos...I enjoyed watching them
