Excellent family run hotel in a quiet, pleasant village. Covered parking for the bikes but not secure. We were a group of 5 staying 3 nights.

The food was very good, local fayre. The village seems to have two parts and this is the quieter end but you have some choice of eateries within walking distance as the hotel does not serve food on Wednesday evenings. We used the bakery and kebab shop for lunches and the excellent Greek restaurant on Wednesday. Their gyros was excellent washed down with a Greek red wine.

Buhlertal is in a valley and part of the Baden wine region. The south facing slopes are covered in vines and you can climb up through them to get to the B500 just South of Baden Baden. You can then proceed for what feels a very long way to Mummelsee at an exhilarating 50kph. There are plenty of other roads with higher speed limits.

You are also very close to the Vosges and I took one ride over to the Nord Vosges which was a lovely ride. More on that in a trip report when I CBA.
