I've just fitted a pair of Hagon 2810 shocks, mainly for cosmetic reasons. They look more retro than the standard items, not sure they perform very much better than the standard ones. Early days yet, I need to do some fiddling with the adjustments.

Am I right in thinking that if you reduce damping you get a softer more supple ride, increase damping the ride gets harder and harsher? Senior moment while I'm fiddling with it. I'm wanting a softer ride because of the poor sate of the roads.

It depends on how you ride. If you’re cracking on you might find that “soft” ie underdamped, rear suspension has the back end squirming around and the bike weaving through corners. That’s not comfort for me. But if you just like to tootle around the lanes soft might be better, given the state of our back roads.

Maybe more important is to have the right spring rate for your weight, and the starting point would be setting the static sag, Google and YouTube are your friends here.

I tend to ride slower these days, and the 650 is a nice bike to bimble about on. I did get a Mr Batfastard spring upgrade.

They look good Al
I set up my YSS shocks following uncle Stu's guidelines more or less for damping and preload measuring gap with vernier calipers each side. They felt a bit harsh first few rides but left them and they have now eased off and feel very good now.

I'm starting to like the look of those Scorpion end cans. That might be my next mod, although with the standard pipes it doesn't sound too bad.

They do sound great Al, with baffles in about half the weight of the stock cans

Side panels look great, wonder if I can get some colour matched to the Ventura blue of my interceptor. Who are Raju Lax and what is the best way of contacting them ?
Many thanks
