Wondering how the fit is compared to a Shoei as all Shoeis in a L fit perfectly .

I’ve gone ahead and ordered one as got it for a good price .

Cannot tell you how they fit, but was in appleyards the other day and they looked a great helmets for the money, especially the carbon one, seemed pretty well put together, the salesman said there was more to it than the hornet and obviously a lot cheaper.

is it strange to say,it looks very noisey with all those bits all over it?

They certainly look quite good .

I can see what you mean . Time will tell . Just fancied a peaked helmet with built in sun visor .

Me too, that’s what made me look at them, on sport bike shop some reviews say peak is a bit flimsy and make a noise, why can the Shoei hornet not do one , I would be the first customer.

I have a carbon version. I can’t comment on how it compares to a Shoei, but the fit is snug with a decent lining, and build quality is a step up from other LS2 helmets I’ve had such as the Valiant and the Pioneer.

Despite the 57 vents I find it surprisingly quiet on my ATAS. Installing comms was a royal pain in the arse. It’s fairly light, the vents work well and I don’t get any turbulence with it. Visor doesn’t have a ratchet mechanism but it tends to stay put. The visor lock tab is fiddly and I’m still getting used to it, and most of the time it’s not needed.

Btw the carbon has a double d ring closure whereas the regular version has the ratchet closure, if that’s a factor for anyone.

Just picked it up .
Very impressed

Even came with an inflatable holder to sit in to remove visor etc .

Great padding and clever latch release .
Pinlock included .

Initial impression on first ride is its very comfy with huge field of view and great sun visor .

Cost me under £200 . Could be a bargain

I like mine. Currently touring Austria and the peak (compared to previous flip lid) is proving invaluable. No autobahn buffeting either unless caught in HGV turbulence. I got the carbon version for a smidge over £200 which has a double d-lock rather than the latch, both are good though.
